📈 Uptime Monitor
Free uptime monitoring every 5 minutes, with an instant check whenever you need one.
Free monitoring, without the account wall
Most uptime monitors want an account, a card and a sales call before they check anything. This one asks for a web address. Add your site and our server checks it every 5 minutes from Cloudflare's network, records whether it answered and how fast, and keeps 30 days of history on a status page you can bookmark. There is also an instant check on this page for the moment you just need to know: is it down for everyone, or just for me?
How to read the numbers
A check counts as up when the site answers with a success or redirect status (HTTP 200 to 399) within 10 seconds. Uptime percentages are simply the share of checks that were up in each window, so 99.9% over 7 days means roughly 10 minutes of downtime in that week. One failed check can be a network hiccup anywhere between us and the site; a run of failures is an outage. Response time is the full round trip from our checker, useful for spotting a site that is technically up but getting slower day by day.
What v1 does and does not do
This first version checks one page per monitor (the address you give), every 5 minutes, and shows the results on your status page. Email alerts are the next addition; for now the status page is the live view. Monitors are capped while the service is new, and each one is removed with the manage token shown once at setup, so keep that token somewhere safe.
Frequently asked questions
How many sites can I monitor?
One monitor per site address, and the free list is capped while the service is new. If the address is already monitored, you are taken to its existing status page instead of creating a duplicate.
Do you send alerts when my site goes down?
Not in this first version. Your status page updates every 5 minutes and keeps the full history, and email alerts are the next feature planned. If alerts are essential today, run this alongside your host's own monitoring.
Why does my site show down here but loads for me?
Our checker connects from Cloudflare's network like any outside visitor. If the site loads for you but not for the checker, the usual causes are a firewall or bot protection blocking data-centre traffic, or a DNS problem your own connection has cached around. Both are worth knowing about, because search engines and new visitors hit the same wall.
How do I remove a monitor?
Open its status page, paste the manage token you were given at setup, and choose Remove monitor. The monitor and its history are deleted immediately. Without the token a monitor cannot be removed, which is deliberate: status pages are public links.
